ArewaGate Demo
Privacy policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
ArewaGate Demo respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
- Transactions: what you buy, the numbers or accounts you buy for, amounts, dates and payment references.
- Payments: wallet funding is processed by our payment partners. We do not see or store your full card details.
- Verification requests: the NIN/BVN or details you submit and the result returned, so you can view and print your slip.
- Dedicated bank accounts: if you request one, your BVN or NIN is sent once to our payment partner to create it. We do not keep that number.
- Support: messages you send us.
- Technical data: basic logs such as IP address and device type, used for security.
Why we use it
- To provide the services you request and deliver your purchases.
- To keep your wallet and account secure and to prevent fraud.
- To send you receipts and service messages, and to answer your support requests.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
Only with the partners needed to deliver your purchase or payment — mobile networks, utility and exam service providers, verification providers, payment processors and our hosting provider — and with authorities when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Transaction records are kept for as long as the law requires for financial records. You can ask us to close your account; we will delete or anonymise data we no longer need.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Contact us at our support email. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private and tell us at once if you suspect misuse.
